You may get a lot of negative feedback from others,
and so much happens in life to block the road you wish to travel.
But you must dream anyway and cherish your dreams as they come from your soul
and are the blueprint of who you are.
What's more, they represent the direction you should take on earth.
Let your heart set your goals and remain dedicated to them.
INTERNET EXPLORER 7 - A Preview
The press went nuts (literally) when Microsoft's Chief Software Architect, Bill Gates announced at the RSA Conference that his company would denounce its earlier plans and ship a separate version of its flagship browser, Internet Explorer. This news came as a big surprise to many people who know Gates and who have pursued the functioning of Microsoft over the years. Even though Internet Explorer was suffering from severe criticism for its inherent security flaws compared to other popular browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Opera, Microsoft had been stern enough to not
concentrate any of its efforts on upgrading the browser. The ground-breaking announcement by Gates shocked many.
UPGRADATIONS TO BE FOUND IN INTERNET EXPLORER 7
Although Microsoft officials were initially reluctant to let out the features that would be available in IE 7, I have managed to successfully pinpoint out the features that can be expected to be
seen in IE 7.
1.Internet Explorer 7 will be shipped only for users of Windows XP Service Pack 2 although, Microsoft may release a special edition for Windows 2000 users later on.
2.IE 7 will focus on security. The two key points of concentration will be an Anti-phishing technology that will help users stay free from credit card frauds occurring while clicking on links sent in unsolicited email. Besides this, IE 7 will also
integrate IP traffic encryption.
3.The "big thing" in IE 7 will definitely be the added benefit of tabbed browsing which will enable users to open multiple websites within the same browser window. Users have long awaited for this feature in the world's most popular browser. This feature is available in virtually all other third party browsers in the market.
CONCLUSION
Well, there isn't much to say about IE 7 as of yet. But, Microsoft is a big company and it is listening to the needs of its users who are demanding a more secure web experience. With IE 7 Microsoft is listening to them and is presenting a public friendly approach by demonstrating that it is concentrating on security issues. Sure, someone might say that Microsoft is demanding Service Pack 2 as a pre condition for IE 7, but you know as well as I do that SP2 is for your own good and upgrading to it is bare necessity in my view considering the lack of security features in earlier versions of IE and Windows.
Personally, I am amazed that Microsoft is taking out the time to ship IE 7 and squeezing in sometime for developing it despite the loads of work that it has to do for Longhorn. This shows that Microsoft really does care for its users.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam speaks....
I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is.
She replied: I want to live in a developed India.
For her, you and I will have to build this developed India. You must
proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed
nation.
Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance. Got 10
minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours.
YOU say that our government is inefficient.
YOU say that our laws are too old.
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.
YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke,
The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their
destination.
You say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute
pits.
YOU say, say and say.
What do YOU do about it?
Take a person on his way to Singapore.
Give him a name? YOURS.
Give him a face? YOURS.
YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your International best.
In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the roads or eat in the
stores.
YOU are as proud of their Underground Links as they are. You pay $5
(approx. Rs.60) to drive through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim
Causeway or Pedder Road) between 5 PM and 8 PM.
YOU comeback to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have
over-stayed, identity. In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU? YOU
wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramazan, in Dubai.
YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in Jeddah. YOU
would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at
10 pounds (Rs.650) a month to, "see to it that my STD and ISD calls are
billed to someone else."
YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then
tell the traffic cop, "Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?).
I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost."
YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage
pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand. Why don't YOU spit Paan
on the streets of Tokyo? Why don't YOU use examination jockeys or buy fake
certificates in Boston????? We are still talking of the same YOU.
YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but
cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road
the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and
appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here
in India?
Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal Commissioner of Bombay, Mr.
Tinaikar, had a point to make. "Rich people"s dogs are walked on the
streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place," he said.
"And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the
authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the
officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the
pressure in his bowels? In America every dog owner has to clean up after
his pet has done the job. Same in Japan. Will the Indian citizen do that
here?" He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after
that forfeit all responsibility. We sit back wanting to be pampered and
expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is
totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not
going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop
to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin. We
We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to
learn the proper use of bathrooms. We want Indian Airlines and Air India
to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop
pilfering at the least opportunity. This applies even to the staff who is
known not to pass on the service to the public.
When it comes to burning social issues like those related to women, dowry,
girl child and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and
continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse? "It's the whole system
which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my son's rights
to a dowry." So who's going to change the system? What does a system
consist of? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other
households, other cities, other communities and the government. But
definitely not me and YOU.
When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system
we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into
the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr. Clean to come along
& work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the
country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to
America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York
becomes insecure we run to England. When England experiences unemployment,
we take the next flight out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we
demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody
is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system.
Our conscience is mortgaged to money.
Dear Indians, the article is highly thought inductive, calls for a great
deal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too?.. I am echoing J.F.
Kennedy's words to his fellow American to relate to Indians?. "ASK WHAT WE
CAN DO FOR INDIA AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA WHAT AMERICA AND
OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY " Lets do what India needs from us.

What Good Is Love
I waited for your love in hope,
That ours would come again,
And make me feel the things I felt,
When we were one, back then.
But time and distance have erased,
The things I wished anew,
And now I find myself alone,
Though I am here with you.
What good is love, that does not touch,
What good is love, that gives you pain.
What good is love, that makes you run,
And makes you lost out in the rain.
I traveled to another world,
Out far beyond the one we knew,
I thought that I could live again,
And now I find I'm back with you.
But what of hearts that beat as one,
And what of passion and embrace,
Is it too much to ask of you,
To make these tears of mine erase.
What good is love, that does not touch,
What good is love, that gives you pain.
What good is love, that makes you run,
And makes you lost out in the rain.
Too painful this - to journey back,
To times of love and laughter free,
The times we lay together with
A sense of you , a sense of me.
So now, I journey on alone,
Forever wandering, in my thoughts,
And I shall ask you once again,
What good is love.
That ours would come again,
And make me feel the things I felt,
When we were one, back then.
But time and distance have erased,

Mankind
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain ....
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready, To answer your call ...
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips, can calm every fear ...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, in dawn's early light ...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
To give you His grace, and send you His love ..
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
"God always sends rainbows ....after the rain ... "

Cricketing anecdotes
"Man, it don't matter where you come in to bat, the score is still zero."
Viv Richards to Sunil Gavaskar at Madras 1983. Gavaskar had decided to relinquish his opening position and come in at no 4 for that test. But, Malcolm Marshall fired out Anshuman Gaekwad and Dilip Vengsarkar for ducks, setting the stage for Gavaskar to walk in at 0/2.And he thought there would be less pressure!
Greg Thomas was bowling to Viv Richards in a county game.
Viv missed a superb outswinger, and Thomas said "It's red, round and weighs about 5 1/2 ounces."Next ball Viv hits Greg Thomas out of the ground for a 6 and
replies,"Greg, you know what it looks like. Go ahead and find it!"
New Zealand vs South Africa: Daryll Cullinan was batting, attempting a comeback from a complete bamboozling from Warne in earlier games. Cullinan played the first ball from Chris Harris very carefully back down the pitch, and keeper Parore yelled out "Well bowled Warnie!"
Australia fighting for a win nearing the end of a Test Match, Fred Trueman at the crease. The Aus captain has plenty of close in fielders, whose shadows fall on the wicket. Fredie finds this objectionable. 'Ere, if you lads don't back off,I'll appeal for bad light!"
The best one(Incident described in "From the Pavilion End" by Harold "Dickie" Bird) "Bomber" Wells, a spin bowler and great character, played for Glocuestershire and Nottinghamshire. He used to bat at No.11 since one couldn't bat any lower. Of him, they used to paraphrase Compton's famous words describing an equally inept runner; "When he shouts 'YES' for a run, it is merely the basis for further negotiations!" Incidentally, Compton was no better. John Warr said, of Compton "He was the only person who would call you for a run and wish you luck at the same time." Anyway, when Wells played for Gloucs, he had an equally horrendous runner as the No.10. During a county match, horror of horrors.......both got injured.
*Both* opted for runners when it was their turn to bat. Bomber played a ball on the off, called for a run, forgot he had a runner and ran himself.
Ditto at the other end. In the melee, someone decided that a second run was on.
Now we had *all four* running.Due to the confusion and constant shouts of "YES" "NO", eventually, *all* of them ran to the same end.
Note - at this point in time, the entire ground is rolling on the
floor laughing their behinds out. One of the fielders - brave lad - tops laughing for a minute, picks the ball and throws down the wicket at the other end.
Umpire Alec Skelding looks very seriously at the four and calmly informs
them "One of you buggers is out. I don't know which. *You* decide and
inform the bloody scorers!".

Live Life Lively
"Only two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity, and I am not sure about the universe." -Albert Einstein
"Only two things are finite: The life-time and human intelligence, and I not sure about human intelligence." -Kautilya Jain
"It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, But what is more painful is to never have the courage to let that person know how you feel. Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fadesaway.
Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's alsotrue that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do. Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too. A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying".

Management Lesson
Management is the art of getting things done through others.
It's a fine sunny day in the forest, and a lion is sitting outside his cave, lying lazily in the sun. Along comes a fox, out on a walk.
Fox: "Do you know the time, because my watch is broken"
Lion: "Oh, I can easily fix the watch for you"
Fox: "Hmm. But it's a very complicated mechanism, and your great claws will only destroy it even more"
Lion: "Oh no, give it to me, and it will be fixed"
Fox: "That's ridiculous! Any fool knows that lazy lions with great claws cannot fix complicated watches"
Lion: "Sure they do, give it to me and it will be fixed"
The lion disappears into his cave, and after a while he comes back
with the watch which is running perfectly. The fox is impressed, and the lion continues to lie lazily in the sun, looking very pleased with himself.
Soon a wolf comes along and stops to watch the lazy lion in the sun.
Wolf: "Can I come and watch TV tonight with you, because mine is broken"
Lion: "Oh, I can easily fix your TV for you"
Wolf: "You don't expect me to believe such rubbish, do you? There is no way that a lazy lion with big claws can fix a complicated TV"
Lion: "No problem. Do you want to try it?"
The lion goes into his cave, and after a while comes back with a perfectly fixed TV. The wolf goes away happily and amazed.
Scene: Inside the lion's cave. In one corner are half a dozen small and intelligent looking rabbits that are busily doing very Complicated work with very detailed instruments. In the other corner lies a huge lion looking very pleased with himself.
Moral: IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY A SUPERVISOR IS FAMOUS LOOK AT THE WORK OF
HIS SUBORDINATES.
In the context of the working world
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY SOMEONE UNDESERVED IS PROMOTED, LOOK AT THE WORK OF HIS SUBORDINATES.

What is Love ?
The way I look.... at what you call "LOVE".
Love is that feeling you get when you meet the right person.".This is how we approach a relationship. We believe that love is a sensation that magically generates when Mr. or Ms. Right appears. And just as easily, it can spontaneously degenerate when the magic "just isn't there" anymore. You fall in love, and you can fall out of it.
There is hardly any activity, which is started with such tremendous hopes and expectations, and yet, which fails so regularly, as love.
So what is love -- real, lasting love?
Love is the attachment that results from deeply appreciating another's goodness. What we value most in ourselves, we value most in others. God created us to see ourselves as good (hence our need to either rationalize or regret our wrongdoings). So, too, we seek goodness in others. Nice looks, an engaging personality, intelligence, and talent (all of which count for something) may attract you, but goodness is what moves you to love.
If love comes from appreciating goodness, it needn't just happen -- you can make it happen. Love is active. You can create it. Just focus on the good in another person (and everyone has some). If you can do this easily, you'll love easily.
Now that you're feeling so warmly toward the entire human race, how can you deepen your love for someone? The way God created us, actions affect our feelings most. For example, if you want to become more compassionate, thinking compassionate thoughts may be a start, but giving will get you there. Likewise, the best way to feel loving is to be loving -- and that means giving.
While most people believe love leads to giving, the truth is exactly the opposite: Giving leads to love.
What is giving? True giving, is other-oriented, and requires four elements. The first is care, demonstrating active concern for the recipient's life and growth. The second is responsibility, responding to his or her expressed and unexpressed needs (particularly, in an emotional need). The third is respect, "the ability to see a person as he [or she] is, to be aware of his [or her] unique individuality," and, consequently, wanting that person to "grow and unfold as he [or she] is." These three components all depend upon the fourth, knowledge. You can care for, respond to, and respect another only as deeply as you know him or her.
The effect of genuine, other-oriented giving is profound. It allows you into another person's world and opens you up to perceiving his or her goodness. At the same time, it means investing part of yourself in the other, enabling you to love this person as you love yourself.
The more you give, the more you love. This is why your parents (who've given you more than you'll ever know) undoubtedly love you more than you love them, and you, in turn, will love your own children more than they'll love you.
Because deep, intimate love emanates from knowledge and giving, it comes not overnight but over time. If someone mistreats you while professing to love you, remember: "Love is a behavior."
A relationship grows stronger when partners are committed to behaving lovingly through continual, unconditional giving -- not only saying, "I love you," but showing it.....

Never Have I Fallen
Your lips speak soft sweetness
Your touch a cool caress
I am lost in your magic
My heart beats within your chest
I think of you each morning
And dream of you each night
I think of your arms being around me
And cannot express my delight
Never have I fallen
But I am quickly on my way
You hold a heart in your hands
That has never before been given away
Friends Without Faces
We sit and we type,
and we stare at our screens ...
We all have to wonder
what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam
through the rooms in a maze,
Looking for something or someone,
as we sit in a daze.
We chat with each other,
we type all our woes ...
Small groups we do form,
and gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody
to type out our name ...
We want recognition,
but it's always the same.
We give kisses and hugs,
and sometimes flirt ...
In IM's we chat deeply and
reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships,
but why we don't know ...
But some of these friendships,
will flourish and grow.
Why is it on screen
we can be so bold,
Telling our secrets that
have never been told.
Why is it we share
the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see,
as though we were blind.
The answer is simple,
it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems
and need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people,
but tell someone we must ...
So we turn to the 'puter
and to those we can trust.
Even though it is crazy,
the truth still remains ...
They are Friends Without Faces
and odd little names.
and we stare at our screens ...
We all have to wonder
what this possibly means.

Sufficiency
I do not dream of luxury
Or search for hidden gold,
For I have wealth beyond compare,
More than my heart can hold.
I have the eyes to realize
The beauty of God's earth--
The golden sun, the silver moon,
And other things of worth.
I have the ears to listen to
The music of the birds,
Or when a good friend speaks to me
In soft and kindly words.
But most of all I have the love
Of someone sweet and dear,
Who by my side still shares a love
That's constant year after year.
Or search for hidden gold,
For I have wealth beyond compare,
More than my heart can hold.
I have the eyes to realize
The beauty of God's earth--
The golden sun, the silver moon,
And other things of worth.
